FAQ

Where do you ship to?

We are an Australian-based business just finding our feet, so at the moment we only ship to Australia.

What scents do you stock?

Currently our range includes Espresso, Caramel Latte, Hazelnut Cappuccino, Vanilla Latte, and Mocha.

What scents are you looking towards?

We’re looking towards more café-inspired scents – think hot chocolates, chai lattes, cinnamon coffee, white chocolate mocha, maybe even matcha. Keep your eyes peeled!

I have a specific coffee order I’d like to suggest to you to make – can I do this?

Absolutely! Scroll to the bottom of the home page and fill in the contact form. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

How big are the scrubs?

At the moment while we’re still strapping on our wings, we’ve got 50mL sample pots available at launch. Later, as we grow, we’ll have full-size (think 200mL) available in so many delectable scents.

How long will it keep?

These scrubs contain Vitamin E within the jojoba and Shea butter, which helps to slow oxidisation. This means it will keep longer and is less likely to mould if it gets wet. These scrubs should keep for around 12 months, if they last you that long! They will last longer if the contents stay dry - store them out of the shower.

What ingredients do the scrubs contain?

The scrubs may contain any combination of the following:

·       Coffee grinds

·       Raw sugar

·       Scent (essential or fragrance oil)

·       Jojoba oil

·       Shea butter

·       Sweet almond oil

·      Stearic acid

I’m reactive or allergic to a product you use. What can I do?

Please let us know if you know of any allergens or if you are particularly reactive to a certain ingredient via our contact form. Each product is made to order, and we’ll do our absolute best to make sure your skin is rewarded for choosing Ember, not punished.

Will rinsing the scrub off in the shower affect my plumbing?

Usually when people are worried about coffee going down the drain, they’re talking about dumping your entire portafilter from a coffee machine. This can definitely be harmful and can clog up your drain, as it is a large amount and doesn’t dissolve.

Within a coffee scrub such as this however, the amount of coffee per use is really minimal, and is much less likely to cause damage, so you can wash it off in the shower and it shouldn’t cause a problem. If you are worried about it though, another alternative is to wipe the residue off your skin with a paper towel, then dispose of that in your rubbish – or you can use a hair catcher or a drain strainer, which is used in showers and baths to catch hair and other things, like coffee grounds in this instance, from going down your drain.

What coffee grinds do you use?

At the moment of launch, we use Australian-roasted Harris medium roast ground coffee, as well as donated used grinds from various cafes that are oven-dried to prevent any bacterial growth. This may change throughout batches depending on availability and customer feedback.
