Ember's beginnings

Ember Espresso is a small creation that comes from an idea had while sipping on my own iced vanilla latte at a café.

At the time I was thinking a lot about skincare – natural, safe, easy, home-made skincare that smells delicious – and having been a barista myself for over seven years, thought it would be such a fun idea to be able to have your own unique coffee order as your own skincare scrub.

I used to get caramel mochas, when my sweet tooth was stronger than it is now. That as a moisturising, exfoliating coffee scrub? Sign me up. A hazelnut cappuccino perhaps? Beautiful. Black-as-your-soul espresso shots or long blacks? Easy done. And hey – we’re working on plans for chai lattes, matcha, hot chocolates, you name it – don’t worry, if caffeine’s not your thing you’re still so welcome at Café Ember.
